At Infinity Precision Inc, we have an aerostructures-specific assembly workforce that is highly skilled and a large assembly room floor. Anything can be assembled, including big assemblies and smaller benchtop assemblies. Bench-type tools, such as assembly jigs and floor mounted assembly jigs, are used to assemble the details for these lofted/contoured components.

Honing
Increases Efficiency and Maintains Alignment
Despite the difficulties, eliminating burrs from the manufacturing process is essential for producing the high-quality, precise parts needed for aerospace. Cross-drilled holes serve as conduits for fluids, lubricants, and gases in a variety of applications. Burrs can obstruct these vital passageways or stir up the flow if they are not removed. Burrs can also impact dimensional tolerances, cause part misalignments, and reduce the overall effectiveness of machined components. In conjunction with our CNC Machining capabilities our Honing Department allows us to deliver high tolerances products, and products requiring special surface roughness requirements. IPI hones steel, cast iron, alloy, copper, brass, aluminum, stainless, titanium, and some plastics.
Our in-house hydroform and ability to interpret lofted data allows IPI to fabricate lofted parts. Our Hydroforming experience allows us to form lofted webs, ribs, and stiffeners. We can also develop hydroform tooling and fabricate contoured support assemblies.
IPI has technology to develop 3D loft from 2D prints.

Hydraulic presses with capacity of 10,000 tons or more are needed for aerospace heavy-duty metal shaping in order to bend, form, bond, or straighten aluminum, titanium, and exotic alloys into fuselages, spars, and airframes. Our IPI facility houses stretch forming presses, hot stretch straighteners, contour rolls, superplastic forming presses, diffusion bonding presses, and powdered metal compaction presses used to produce parts to specific aerospace specifications while applying process-specific pressures and temperatures.
